Core Power 26g and Core Power Elite 42g both come in 14-fluid-ounce bottles. The larger protein number does not mean a larger drink. It means a different nutrition profile within the same product family. Here is how to compare the reviewed Chocolate and Vanilla variants using manufacturer labels checked October 13, 2026.

The per-bottle difference is straightforward

The reviewed 26g Chocolate and Vanilla bottles each contain 170 calories. Their 42g counterparts each contain 230. Moving to Elite therefore adds 16 grams of labeled protein and 60 calories without changing bottle volume. That is the clearest starting point for deciding which serving better matches your intended use.

It does not follow that everyone needs the larger serving, or that the smaller bottle formula is inadequate. These are product quantities, not individualized daily protein targets. An ingredient comparison cannot establish a personal nutrition requirement.

Use protein density as a second comparison

Core Power 26g works out to 15.29 grams of protein per 100 calories. Elite 42g works out to 18.26. Another way to express the same arithmetic is approximately 163.46 calories per 25 grams of protein for the 26g formula and 136.90 for Elite.

These normalized numbers are calculations, not alternative serving instructions. You still buy and drink a 14-ounce bottle. They also omit differences such as flavor, other nutrients and cost, so they should not be presented as an overall product score.

The milk source stays similar; labels still differ

fairlife describes both lines as made from ultra-filtered milk without added protein powders or concentrates. Both are described as lactose-free and remain milk-containing products. The reviewed ingredient lists include lactase and a mixture of sweeteners rather than a single sweetener.

Do not assume every flavor has the same nutrition. Elite Chocolate lists 7 grams of sugar and 2 grams of fiber, whereas Elite Vanilla lists 8 grams of sugar and no fiber. For Chocolate 26g, fairlife’s brand and shop pages disagree on sugar, so we do not treat a single sugar figure as settled for every package.

Compare equal protein amounts before calling a pack cheaper

Use total pack cost divided by the pack’s total protein, then multiply by 25. A 12-pack of 26g bottles contains 312 grams of labeled protein; a 12-pack of 42g bottles contains 504 grams. The formula is pack cost ÷ (container count × protein grams per container) × 25.

Keep the ordinary purchase price separate from subscription discounts, coupons and shipping. A higher case price can still produce a lower cost per 25 grams, but no current value winner is established here. Verify the exact flavor, bottle count and listing before using your own checkout totals.
